The Healing Properties of a Castor Oil Pack

April 30, 2013 0 comments Clean Body
I have hope for Castor Oil. Mostly because since I started using a daily castor oil pack, numerous ailments have subsided. In fact, if you are experiencing cramps or back pain, all you have to do is apply a pack to see how amazing the pain relief can be.
When I first heard about it from a nutritionist, I did not take it seriously enough. If I had, I may have been able to avoid the pain of endometriosis returning a few years back.
Applied topically, castor oil has the ability to Detox an area, improve lymph circulation, alleviate skin disorders, relieve pain and reduce inflammation. Dr. Christiane Northrup, a visionary pioneer in women’s health and wellness, has promoted castor oil as part of therapy.
To make a castor pack soak a piece of cotton in castor oil (I usually just pour it over the cloth) position it on the abdomen (or area of pain) and place a heat source, such as a hot water bottle or heating pad, on top of it. If you want to avoid the mess, try using saran wrap between the cloth and the heat source. If you have back pain, you can even add peppermint oil and/or a citrus blend to the cloth and apply to the back for relief.
